Ordinance 2020-08: Rezone 2417 East Butternut Road from R-1-10 to R-1-8

    Approved with conditions · 6-0

About 0.66 acre would be rezoned. Staff said the existing duplex, approved about 50 years earlier, is legal but non-conforming and will lose that status once demolished. Gibbons first worried about going from two dwellings to three across three lots but later said he better understood the proposal; Durham asked that driveways be placed to address Butternut traffic; Fotheringham raised consistency with the general plan; Petersen said the general plan is not binding and the right density already exists. The rezone was adopted on condition that the developer enter an agreement restricting two driveways to Butternut and the southern driveway to 4370 South.

    • Acres: about 0.66
