Burt Garfield was elected Utah County assessor in 2023. The county's biography lists a bachelor's degree in statistics from Brigham Young University and a master's in industrial administration from Purdue University, about 30 years of work including roles at American Express, Discover Card, Zions Bank and FranklinCovey, and joined the Assessor's Office as a part-time data analyst in 2010, becoming chief deputy assessor in 2015.
