Utah County's commissioner page says Amelia Powers Gardner has more than 15 years of private-sector experience in engineering, manufacturing and business development, including work with Caterpillar, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology from Weber State University. [1]

The page says she served as Utah County Clerk/Auditor before becoming a commissioner. It credits her there with launching an online marriage license portal, an initiative to let people with disabilities vote using blockchain technology, and performance-based budgeting. These are the county's own descriptions. [1]

As commissioner, the page says, she oversees the Clerk, Auditor and Information Systems departments, among others. [1]
