Broads Fork Twin Peaks

Paired summits on Cottonwood Ridge that name Twin Peaks Wilderness.

Broads Fork Twin Peaks are the paired high points on Cottonwood Ridge between Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. A Forest Service map labels them Twin Peaks at about 11,330 feet. They are a different group from the American Fork Twin Peaks near Snowbird.

The Utah Geological Survey identifies folded and faulted shale and quartzite of the Big Cottonwood Formation on the peaks, unlike the younger granite nearby. They give their name to Twin Peaks Wilderness, designated in 1984 and managed by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The Broads Fork trail leads into the basin below; the summits are well beyond it.
