Consent agreement on a King Road single-family house (Resolution 03-2026)
Approved · 3-1
The city settled three consolidated Third District Court cases over land use approvals for a single-family house on King Road. The agreement returns the matter to the planning director's decision with 24 conditions, adds landscaping and road and infrastructure improvements and can shift future litigation costs to the owner. It does not resolve the private dispute between neighbors; a hearing on the Planning Commission case was set for January 29. Counsel for neighbors urged waiting for that ruling. Many residents opposed the agreement and asked that the case go to court; one supported it. Council Member Parigian said house size was not the issue; the mayor said the plans now met code.
