Council approves Iron Mountain open space donation and $60,000 Daly West sculpture, continues Deer Valley right-of-way petition to September 28

August 29, 2023, 2:00 p.m. · City Council Chambers, 445 Marsac Avenue

On August 29, 2023 the council accepted a 218-acre Iron Mountain conservation easement donation and approved a sculpture of the Daly West headframe for up to $60,000, both 5-0. It continued Deer Valley Development Company's right-of-way vacation petition and the Sommet Blanc plat extension, and approved consent agreements for transit vehicle wraps and Main Street communications services 4-0 with Council Member Jeremy Rubell excused. A work session reviewed engagement results for the Bonanza Park Small Area Plan, and staff presented an e-bike policy update that led to direction for a survey and a spring pilot.
