Short-term rental business license: fee for changing property management
Approved · 5-0
Ordinance 2026-18 updates the consolidated fee schedule so a property-management company taking over a short-term rental pays one flat administrative fee per property instead of starting the license process over. Staff proposed $20; the council set the fee at $25 after a $30 motion was amended. Council Member Sid Ostergaard asked staff to report on actual staff time in January 2027; the finance director suggested bringing a reassessment with the annual fee schedule in June.
- Fee$25
- Public hearing held; one speaker, from a property-management company, supported the change

Tava-Highlands Public Infrastructure Districts 1, 2 and 3
Approved with conditions · 4-0-1
Resolution 2026-16 approves the Tava-Highlands public infrastructure districts, with amendments requiring two discussed exhibits in every home-sales package and correcting the board-appointment language so the council approves the developer's recommendations rather than appointing the board. Council Member Barney abstained. The minutes record the council's action, not district organization, any bond issuance or debt amounts.
