How minutes work. Minutes are the official record of a meeting. The council approves them at a later meeting, so the newest meetings have only an agenda, or draft minutes, until then. Meetings marked Approved minutes are written from that approved record. Ones marked Agenda only describe what was scheduled; we add the results once the minutes are posted.

Murray council agenda for Oct. 6: new police chief appointment, Chief Burnett honors and a fee waiver for a veterans walk
The Murray City Municipal Council's Oct. 6 agenda included Mayor Hales' appointment of Chase L. Smith as chief of police, a resolution honoring retiring Chief Craig D. Burnett and renaming the police training center for him, and a public hearing on waiving park fees for a Nov. 11 veterans event. Results were not in the documents reviewed.
