Development agreement
Tabled
About 12430 S. 700 East, Draper · 1.67 acres · 5 units
A request to rezone 1.67 acres from RA1 and RA2 to R4 for a five-lot development on a private road, plus a related development agreement. The Planning Commission considered the rezone July 9, 2026 and forwarded a positive recommendation, but on Aug. 4 the council's motion to approve Ordinance 1735 failed 2-3 and the item was continued to a date uncertain. A Planning Commission hearing on the development agreement was noticed for Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.; the city's Oct. 8 notice now says the item will be continued to a date uncertain. A continuation is not a denial.
Status supported by the dated project source, Thu, Oct 8. See the project updates.
Development agreement
Approved
Approximately 14068 South 145 East · 2.15 acres
Draper approved a development agreement for the last empty lot, about 2.15 acres, in the Exchange office park at 14068 South 145 East. The council adopted Ordinance 1738 on Sept. 15, 2026, 4-0 with one member excused. The deal lets the building reach 60 feet where code caps it at 45, allows tilt-up concrete, stucco-style and metal panel materials, drops landscape islands between parking rows, and lets parking run to a 25% range against a normal 10%. Representatives said Rincon Research, a defense research firm, plans to occupy the building. The agreement is not a building permit: the site plan and permit review, and any move-in, come later.
