June 16, 2026, 5:30 p.m.

The Herald Journal reported that the Logan Municipal Council voted unanimously on June 16 to tentatively approve a property tax increase of 22.88 percent, which raises about $1.36 million for Fire Station 73 operations, a police officer and street lighting and is offset by a reduction in Cache County's fire-related levy. The posted agenda also listed a tentative $222,136,462 budget, council salary schedules and rezones. The official minutes document posted by the city contains agenda text, so other results are not yet confirmed.

Cache County reduced its general levy for fire service, so amounts paid to the county for fire would instead go to the city.
