Honeyville at a glance Box Elder County · Utah
Honeyville is a small farming town in northern Utah near the Idaho border. Latter-day Saint settlers founded it in 1863, and early residents raised sugar beets, potatoes, cattle, horses and sheep. Many people now work elsewhere, but the town keeps a rural feel, with horses and farm animals a common sight. The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, where the Bear River meets the Great Salt Lake, is the area's best-known natural landmark.
The town website keeps an archive of City Council and Planning Commission agendas, agenda packets and minutes, along with public hearing notices for items such as rezones and ordinance changes. A forms page carries applications for business licenses, conditional use permits, subdivisions, excavation, water service and park or rodeo arena reservations. To follow a decision, read the public hearing notice first, then the agenda packet, then the approved minutes, which are marked pending until adopted.
