Wendy Aston serves on the Bluffdale City Council, with her current term running from January 2026 through December 2029. Her state-hosted candidate statement identifies her occupation as chemical engineer and says she earned a chemical engineering degree at the University of Utah. In that statement, Aston describes her council work on commercial design standards, a sign ordinance, parks and trails, and the establishment of a city recreation department.
The City Council voted 4-1 in June to raise the residential public safety fee to $16.20 a month, with the same percentage increase for businesses and apartments. The budget projects $1,224,000 from the fee, up from $750,000. The city's rates page still listed 2024 fees on Oct. 16.
