In their own words: Southern Utah News Q&A
Kubeja's main concern, she told the paper's October 2026 Q&A, is funding current services without raising property taxes, which she says have not risen in almost 20 years: "My biggest concern is being able to continue providing the services we do without having to raise property taxes." She wants to keep service levels and sees no spending priorities that need changing. [1]
She says the county has the right land-use policies, including room for higher-density housing, and that tourism remains the backbone of the economy. Her opponent in November is Matthew Fisher. [1]
