Michael Murphy serves as the interim representative for Seat F on the Wasatch County Council, with a term ending in December 2026. A Timber Lakes resident and defense contractor, he served on the county planning commission before joining the council. The council approved his appointment in April 2026 following a nomination by the county Republican Party. His district includes Hideout, Timber Lakes and the eastern portion of the county. Murphy is seeking a full council term in 2026 and has emphasized local government, fiscal responsibility and family-oriented policies in his campaign.
The 23-lot conservation subdivision, with two additional lots of record, sits at about 6380 East Lake Creek Road, according to draft minutes of the Sept. 16 meeting.
