Midway city government

KPCW reported in January 2024 that Colleen Bonner served 12 years on the Midway city council and was later Midway's mayor, and that she lost the mayor's office in 2017 when she ran for re-election. She won the Seat B county council seat in 2024; her term runs through 2028. TownLift reported she had lived in Wasatch County for more than 40 years. The two outlets gave different lengths for her time as mayor, so this page does not state one. [3] [4] [1]

County board assignments

The county directory lists her assignments as the Mountainland Association of Governments Council, Blue Bench Landfill Board, Heber Valley Special Service District Board, North Village Special Service District Administrative Control Board, Weed Control Board and Heber Historic Railroad Board. [2]

2024 campaign priorities, in reporting

In 2024 reporting, Bonner said she wanted to help guide the growth of Heber Valley while keeping a rural feel. She named a water audit she created in Midway as an accomplishment. In TownLift's profile she said the county should protect property rights, set open-space requirements for new developments similar to Midway's, back a shared county and city vision for zoning, take a more active role in designing the proposed bypass road, and mix affordable housing into new growth. These are her 2024 campaign statements as reported, not Ledger conclusions. [3] [4]
