Utah defensive tackle Jamal Wallace has been suspended indefinitely from the football program after an Oct. 11 arrest for alleged distribution of an intimate image, a Class A misdemeanor, the Deseret News reported. [1]

A Utah spokesperson said the school learned of the situation Oct. 11 and suspended him immediately. "We take these matters seriously. As this is a pending legal matter we have no further comment at this time," the statement said. [1]

According to a probable cause affidavit cited by the Deseret News, no charges relate to any other allegation described in it, and Wallace denied the allegations when interviewed by an officer. [1]

Wallace transferred to Utah from Tennessee in January. The backup appeared sparingly in the Utes' first game and has not played since. [1]
