Harriman's yucca

A low yucca with stiff, sharp leaves and bell-shaped flowers pollinated by the yucca moth.

Harriman's yucca grows as a low cluster of stiff, long, sharp-pointed leaves with strong fibers. In spring it sends up bell-shaped flowers, white to cream or greenish and tinged with purple.

The National Park Service lists the yucca moth as its pollinator. At Arches it grows in desert shrub, grassland and pinyon-juniper communities, blooms in April, May and June, and has a taproot at least 30 feet long.
