Discussed
Staff proposed a vanpool pilot with Commute with Enterprise (employers subsidize; $750 a month per vehicle, capped at $80,000 a year), a taxi reimbursement pilot ($10 a ride, capped at $80,000 a year, 664 eligible households of which 224 are primary residences) and storage lockers at the Old Town Transit Center ($1 an hour or $10 a day). Funding comes from the terminated microtransit budget. Council Member Ciraco wanted more shifted from taxi to vanpool; Dickey warned of taxi administrative costs; Parigian called taxi reimbursement complicated; Mayor Worel supported taxi but not Uber or Lyft. Deer Valley community reinvestment area item removed from agenda
No action
Mayor Worel said Deer Valley Resort asked that its item be removed. Dozens of written comments were received on the proposed Deer Valley community reinvestment area (CRA) tied to Snow Park development; most opposed diverting property tax increment from schools, fire, water, county and city services and urged private financing or a public infrastructure district. One commenter supported the Snow Park development. The figures cited by commenters were not verified in the minutes.
