How minutes work. Minutes are the official record of a meeting. The council approves them at a later meeting, so the newest meetings have only an agenda, or draft minutes, until then. Meetings marked Approved minutes are written from that approved record. Ones marked Agenda only describe what was scheduled; we add the results once the minutes are posted.

Beaver council sets a fee for disconnecting the pressurized irrigation system and weighs a disaster recovery specialist
At its Oct. 13 meeting the Beaver City Council approved an ordinance setting a disconnect and reconnect fee for the city's pressurized irrigation (PI) system, a notable step after what the mayor called the most expensive year for the system. City Manager Monte Hawkins also proposed a disaster recovery specialist position shared with Beaver County, reported a federal disaster declaration on Oct. 8 with FEMA expected to cover about 75 percent of qualified projects, and previewed an updated purchasing policy requiring three bids over $15,000. The council went into closed session on pending litigation and took no action.
