Tooele council agenda for Oct. 7: water-rights depletion rate cut to 60%, budget amendments and a $500,000 wastewater plant contingency
The Tooele City Council's Oct. 7 agenda included a proposal to lower the required water rights depletion rate for interior use in new development from 100% to 60%, 17 budget amendments, a $500,000 contingency for the Water Reclamation Facility upgrade contract with COP Construction and a change order with Black Forest Paving. Results were not in the documents reviewed.

Tooele council denies Sensitive Area Overlay removal, approves East Valley water study
Tooele's City Council voted 4-0 on Sept. 16 to deny Ordinance 2026-27, which would have removed the Sensitive Area Overlay from about 2.02 acres near 600 South Canyon Road and 695 South Main Street. It also approved, 4-0, an agreement with Hansen, Allen & Luce for an East Valley water source and water rights study. This entry covers selected decisions, not the whole agenda.
