South Salt Lake council votes 7-0 to adjust trash and sewer fees and finds a River Trail station area plan impracticable

September 23, 2026, 7:00 p.m. · 220 East Morris Avenue, South Salt Lake

On Sept. 23 the South Salt Lake City Council voted 7-0 on a resolution finding that a station area plan for the part of the River Trail station area in or within a half mile of the city is impracticable, and 7-0 each for ordinances changing household and recyclable waste container fees and sewer and industrial waste utility fees. It moved two new ordinances, on stormwater enforcement fees and on administrative hearing procedures, to the next meeting as unfinished business.
