Draper council rezones a 1.35-acre lot and raises I-15 sign limits at the Karl Malone Auto Center, both unanimous

October 6, 2026

Draper's City Council voted unanimously on Oct. 6 for Ordinance 1739, rezoning about 1.35 acres in east Draper from RA1 to RA2 so the owner can add one smaller lot, and for Ordinance 1740, which allows four pole or monolithic signs along I-15 in the Karl Malone Auto Center special district, up from three, and cuts monument signs on Lone Peak Parkway from seven to five. The council also appointed Bryn Johnson and Emily Baron to the Audit Committee with Council Member Tasha Lowery as chair (Resolution 26-45) and met in a closed session before the meeting. It adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
