Roy's budget assumes it keeps its fire department while annexation into Weber Fire District proceeds
Roy's council asked in June to join Weber Fire District. The district's Oct. 1 hearing materials say the annexation is not complete, and Roy's final budget was prepared assuming the city keeps its fire department.
Roy's $1.75 million property tax increase goes to voters as Proposition 10
The City Council adopted a smaller tax increase than first advertised, mostly for employee pay. A referendum petition qualified on Oct. 14, and the increase is on the Nov. 3 ballot.
