Weber Housing Authority supportive housing project at 2325 Madison Avenue (work session)

    Discussed · 2325 Madison Avenue

Weber Housing Authority (WHA) asked the council to adopt a resolution finding a need for its permanent supportive housing project, as state law requires before a county housing authority can build inside a city. WHA Executive Director Andi Beadles answered written council questions on eligibility criteria, applications and appeals, staffing, the renovation of the building, the number of residents, the reasons for choosing the site and how the project differs from the Ogden Housing Authority. The council and mayor ended by asking WHA to consider an alternative property and to involve the neighborhood around whatever site is picked. The council had first discussed the resolution on Dec. 3, 2024.
