Ordinance 2026-08: Town Center urban design standards and zone map

Approved · 4-0 · Town Center, North Salt Lake

The council approved Ordinance 2026-08, which amends the Town Center zoning map and adopts urban design standards in Title 10, Chapter 23, along with changes to the specific-use standards in Chapter 19 and to the definitions in Chapter 1, Section 39. The motion included three findings: that the amendments fit the comprehensive general plan, that they fit the North Salt Lake Town Center Master Plan, and that changing conditions make them reasonably necessary to carry out the purposes of the title. The findings supported adoption and were not additional conditions on any project. Before the vote, members discussed sidewalk widths and parking requirements with the consultant, Mark Morris of VODA, who said parking had been calibrated with input from other cities and could be amended later.

    Approved · 4-0
