In their own words: the Tribune questionnaire
On corruption, Bean says distrust comes from fast decisions made with little transparency and would require real public comment before votes, restore tax-break reporting and require impact studies before approving projects. On affordability, Bean cites a housing shortage and fees and rules that add over a quarter to a new home's cost, and proposes one-checklist permitting, more by-right accessory dwelling units and cuts to state fees and rules with no new taxes or agency. [1]
On water, Bean would create a public dashboard tied to Great Salt Lake elevation and inflows and Lake Powell levels, and expand agricultural water leasing with federal funding. Bean also proposes impact audits for any tax break over $4 million, with clawbacks if benchmarks are missed within three to five years. Bean declined to answer on Constitutional Amendments A and B.
