Background
Susan H. Eisenman was appointed to the Third District Juvenile Court in 2017. She previously worked as a parental defender, guardian ad litem and assistant attorney general, later leading the State Agency Counsel Division. She studied English at UC Berkeley and earned a law degree at the University of Virginia. The court's biography says Eisenman became director of the State Agency Counsel Division in 2013, was appointed to the Third District Juvenile Court in July 2017 by Governor Gary Herbert, has been its presiding judge since 2023 and has served on the Judicial Council since 2024.
