Background
Shaun Bell is Orangeville’s mayor. The City Council unanimously selected him in May 2024 after David Robinson resigned; Bell had already served on the council and as mayor pro tempore. Reporting on his appointment described earlier work as an Emery County sheriff’s deputy and an educator at Emery High School. His municipal work has included filling local planning positions: the city’s March 2026 minutes record his appointment of Don Bennet to the Planning and Zoning Committee after the committee considered two applicants.
