In the candidate's own words

The Tribune reports that Rod Moser, the Democratic challenger to Rep. Tracy Miller in House District 45, has worked for 30 years selling houses in Utah, according to the campaign website, and is a political newcomer. [1]

In the survey, Moser says a Republican legislator urged the run after a housing town hall, and that two years were spent documenting Utah's development authorities at utahgrit.com. Moser proposes allowing starter homes on smaller lots, requiring infrastructure district debt to be paid off as each home sells, removing the sales tax on groceries and tying state tax breaks for big employers to livable wages. Moser also proposes a trigger in state law for conservation steps when the Great Salt Lake drops too low, and a state-law bar on selling public land. Moser opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B.
