In the candidate's own words
Iva Williams works as a Salesforce administrator for MasterControl, a software firm that helps companies manage quality, manufacturing and compliance. She says she works a full-time job and has no business interests she could legislate to benefit. The Tribune mentions no prior elected or government service. [1]
In her survey answers, Williams would end the sales tax on groceries, keep zoning local while rewarding faster permitting, and require transparency before property tax increases. On water she would make Great Salt Lake protection a top priority and hold public hearings before Utah signs any Colorado River deal. She also calls for responsible artificial intelligence rules, including safety testing and accountability for developers. She opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B. [1]
These are the candidate's own survey answers as printed by the Tribune, not checked by The Utah Ledger. [1]
