Politically neutral. Every candidate on this ballot gets the same sections. The party shown is the one the ballot lists. A section is missing only where we haven't yet found an official source for it. How we stay neutral
Moab Sun News coverage says Woytek served on the Grand County Commission, including as chair, and resigned that seat to become Clerk/Auditor in 2022 to finish his predecessor's term; he then ran unopposed for a full term that November. As Clerk/Auditor he led the county's 2024 resolution of a state audit-compliance issue, and in 2025 he proposed splitting the combined office into two elected positions, which the commission rejected in October 2025. In their own words: Moab Sun News candidate questions
Woytek says he is running for continuity and institutional knowledge: "I have shown the dedication, professionalism and competence that Grand County residents deserve." He names a General Fund that is tightening each year as the top issue, with priority on legally required services and visitor-generated revenue, and says he has prepared the county's most detailed budgets. [2] [1]
His first move would be continuing work in legislative committees defending Utah's election systems and vote-by-mail; he says he brought tens of thousands of dollars in state funding for election improvements. On audit problems, he says an external audit identified weaknesses he will address with updated procedures, and points to the next annual report as the measure voters can check. He says it is not appropriate for the Clerk/Auditor to defy a commission decision when policy is followed, and he would consult the county attorney if policy is silent. His opponent, Kenneth Minor, is also unaffiliated; the voter guide notes Woytek's answers give his tenure as 5 years, 4-plus years and 7 budget cycles in different places. [1]
