In the candidate's own words

According to his website, as cited by the Tribune, David Chappell is a civil engineer with a degree from Brigham Young University. [1]

In the survey, Chappell calls for banning corporate money in politics and pledges to take no money from corporations. Chappell proposes releasing rainy-day funds for housing, removing sales tax on essentials, free school meals, a higher minimum wage, expanded state Earned Income and Child Tax Credits, and a renters' and workers' bill of rights. On water, Chappell calls for modernized water rights law and says the state should declare a state of emergency to save the Great Salt Lake. Chappell opposes Amendment B and, per the Tribune, changed from supporting to opposing Amendment A. [1]

These are the candidate's own survey answers as printed by the Tribune, not checked by The Utah Ledger. [1]
