Construction and community ties

Clayton Calloway owns Bristlecone Building Company and has been involved in Brian Head since the 1980s. His official biography places his business experience within a longstanding family connection to the resort community. That background brings familiarity with building, property and the local economy to his municipal service in a town whose stated objective is development as a resort destination. [1]

Planning and elected service

Calloway served two terms on the Brian Head Planning Commission before winning election to the Town Council in 2013. He became mayor in January 2018. That progression moved him from reviewing land-use matters to elected town leadership. The town identifies the mayor, council and staff as working together on Brian Head’s direction and services. Financial stewardship

The town’s FY2027 strategic planning materials establish goals, strategies and action steps for staff and the council. Its financial process also includes an independent audit presented in an open meeting. These are institutional responsibilities within Calloway’s mayoral work, linking the town’s resort-development objective with budgeting, service provision and assessment of how public resources are used. [2]

Infrastructure and public decisions

Brian Head’s 2026 meeting archive identifies council business involving the Blue Jay Way waterline, shuttle-stop work and special assessment financing. The April 14 session was scheduled to review the FY2027 budget and award a waterline contract; July 28 business included shuttle-stop change orders. These records identify specific infrastructure matters before the council during Calloway’s service, without assigning him sole responsibility for decisions made collectively. [3]
