Chris Ewald is a Blanding City Council member with a career in aircraft maintenance. In his January 2026 municipal disclosure, he identified AIR Services as his employer and business, describing work on aircraft inspections, repairs and avionics. Earlier correspondence in a 2022 city meeting packet identifies him as a regional maintenance manager for Guardian Flight. That correspondence also records his participation in discussions about airport hangar rates and the development of Blanding’s aviation community.
Minutes in the council's meeting packets show members chose Herring over other applicants 4-1 on Sept. 22 and picked Laws 3-1 to fill a council vacancy on Oct. 13.
