Bryan Burrows is Richfield’s mayor, first taking the office in January 2022 and renewing his oath in January 2026. In January 2026, he disclosed that he worked for Rocky Mountain Power during a council discussion of a proposed electrical substation. In that discussion, Burrows linked the city’s ability to accommodate growth to adequate power, water and sewer infrastructure. He asked the council to consider whether acquiring the proposed site served a municipal purpose and whether the substation would benefit the wider community.
At its Oct. 13 meeting Richfield's council adopted a surplus-water ordinance for about 13 users outside city limits, approved an impact-fee deferral on a mayor's tiebreak, and removed a denied tax increase from the budget.
