In their own words: Southern Utah News Q&A

Folsom has a marketing background, according to the paper's October 2026 Q&A. He prioritizes core services, reserves and road maintenance, would seek state and federal help rather than raise local taxes, and suggests creating a county administrator position. "I would not support any increase in local taxes," he said. He opposes local government incentives for businesses. [1]

Folsom proposes winter tourism and arts-based growth to offset seasonality. He opposed an $800,000 Department of Justice grant tied to ICE cooperation and a 2023 raise for commissioners. These are his own statements. [1]
