In the candidate's own words

The Tribune reports that Alan Wessman is an unaffiliated candidate who works as a software engineer, challenging Republican incumbent Jackie Larson for House District 64, which includes Spanish Fork, Salem, Woodland Hills, Leland, Lake Shore, Palmyra and Benjamin. [1]

In the survey, Wessman promises a reform agenda against corruption and self-dealing, would eliminate sales taxes on groceries, address housing supply constraints and oppose cuts to social safety net programs. Wessman wants a legal minimum healthy elevation for the Great Salt Lake with automatic water restrictions when it falls below that level, and would fight gerrymandering, advocate for STAR or approval voting and push to restore vote-by-mail as the default. Wessman opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B. Larson did not respond to the questionnaire. [1]

These are the candidate's own survey answers as printed by the Tribune, not checked by The Utah Ledger. [1]
