In the candidate's own words

The Tribune reports that Alan Jimenez, the Democratic candidate in House District 61, is a cybersecurity professional. The district includes southwest Orem and west Provo, and the race also includes Republican Rep. Lisa Shepherd and Constitution Party candidate Jennifer Doud. [1]

In the survey, Jimenez says no money is taken from large political action committees or corporations and that every lobbyist meeting would be posted online. Jimenez would reform zoning to make starter homes easier to build, require state approval for big insurance rate hikes, cut the grocery sales tax and work toward ending it. Jimenez opposes the Stratos data center, would protect residents' right to a referendum and would require data centers to disclose water and energy use. Jimenez opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B. Shepherd and Doud did not reply to the Tribune's requests. [1]
