Springdale is the town most Zion visitors stay in. The Virgin River runs through it, the Watchman towers above it, and the park entrance is at the north end of town.

From March through November, the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is closed to private cars and visitors ride the park shuttle. Park in town, ride the free Springdale Line to the pedestrian entrance, then transfer to the Zion Canyon Line inside the park.
