The St. George Utah Temple was dedicated on April 6, 1877, the first of the church's temples to be completed in Utah. It was rededicated in 1975 and again in December 2023 after a renovation.

It is one of two temples in St. George. The newer Red Cliffs Utah Temple was dedicated in 2024.

Visiting

A visitors' center is on site and open to the public, according to the official page. The grounds are open to the public, according to the church. Once a temple is dedicated, attendance is reserved for church members taking part in its ordinances, so the interior is open to the public only during an open house.
