YWCA Utah says it has worked since its founding in 1906 on behalf of marginalized people. Its Lolie Eccles Early Education Center has offered childcare, preschool, kindergarten and summer camp since 1966, with scholarships for children of survivors living in YWCA housing. [1]
Its Women In Jeopardy emergency shelter is licensed and provides case management, children's services, housing coordination and meals, and the organization says it was the first domestic violence shelter in Utah. The Kathleen Robison Huntsman Apartments provide affordable housing and supportive services for survivors of abuse and their children. [1]
