The chamber says it descends from the Provo Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1887 by Wilson H. Dusenberry, James Dunn and A.A. Noon. The Provo and Orem chambers merged in 1985 to form the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, and in 2010 it became the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce and expanded to include 25 cities. [1]

Those dates are milestones in the organization's own account. Current programs, events and membership terms are published separately on its site. [2]
