Gossner Foods links Cache Valley’s dairy economy to products that travel well beyond the local grocery aisle. Its original Logan plant remains a center for packaging and distribution, according to the company. Cheese production also extends to Heyburn, Idaho, so Gossner’s overall operations should not be treated as entirely Utah-based. [1]
The Logan site also houses an ultra-high-temperature milk operation. The company describes milk packaged using aseptic equipment to extend its shelf life, alongside its Swiss-cheese business. Those two product lines show different ways a dairy processor brings milk to market: one through cheesemaking, another through processing and packaging that changes how milk can be stored and distributed.
