Hyde Park adopts 9.74% property tax increase tied to a public works hire and sidewalk repairs
Hyde Park's council voted 4-0 on Aug. 26, 2026 for a certified tax rate of .00110 and for its final budget. The mayor said the increase would fund an additional public works employee and sidewalk, curb and gutter repairs. The budget the city later filed with the State Auditor shows a new sidewalk repair line and higher streets salaries.
