Background

Norman Lameman leads C 4Ever Green, an Indigenous-led nonprofit focused on environmental education and waste management on the Utah Navajo Reservation. The Colorado Plateau Foundation credits Lameman and Meridith Benally with organizing an Earth Day cleanup after noticing increasing roadside dumping in 2019. Seventy-five residents participated in that effort. The foundation says C 4Ever Green became a nonprofit in 2022 and works on illegal dumping, waste burning, renewable energy and protection of natural resources. The organization identifies Lameman as its executive director.
