Mike Kolendrianos serves on the Layton City Council, elected in 2025. The Nature Conservancy's 2025 Utah chapter update identifies him as manager of its Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve, which he had cared for more than a decade. In his state-hosted candidate statement he says he graduated from Weber State University and has experience in government services, industrial construction, housing development, and environmental and water conservation.
On Oct. 15 a council member asked why a rezone was needed two to three years after the buildings were built. The council also tabled Resolution 26-44, a land purchase near 1337 East 1700 North.
