In the candidate's own words
The Tribune reports that Jeffrey Anderson works in the medical field and is new to politics. In the survey Anderson describes work as a medical technologist focused on hospital quality and safety in Utah, elsewhere in the United States and overseas with the U.S. Department of State, and calls himself a one-term candidate. [1]
Anderson supports unions' bargaining rights and a higher minimum wage, would restore the state engineer's authority to weigh community impact on new water permits and impose a moratorium on new diversions and dams until Great Salt Lake and Lake Powell levels stabilize. Anderson proposes a charter-school-style system of child care for ages 2 to 5 and a livable wage of about $24.50 an hour for state workers and workers on state-funded projects. Anderson opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B. [1]
