In the candidate's own words
Carl Ingwell's website describes him as an environmentalist and community leader. In the survey he says he takes no corporate PAC money and would push state campaign finance reform, and he names Desert Solitaire as his favorite nonfiction book, tied to breeding bird surveys he conducted in summers. [1]
Ingwell prioritizes lowering energy costs through renewables and bringing well-paying jobs to rural areas, and backs better pay and union representation. On water he wants the Colorado River Compact redrawn for fairer Lower Basin access and would keep data centers out of Utah. He would ban private-equity-owned health care in Utah and expand rural mental health resources. He opposes both Amendment A and Amendment B. [1]
