Art Adcock serves on the Santaquin City Council; the city lists his term as running to January 6, 2030. His city biography says he is a 1981 BYU graduate, served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and six years in the Utah Army National Guard, served previously on the City Council and currently sits on the Planning Commission, and retired as a sergeant from the Utah County Sheriff's Office after 23 years. His assignments are fire department liaison, flood control and debris basins, emergency preparedness, public works and engineering, the American Legion and seniors.
A May 22 notice set a June 2 hearing on Santaquin's tentative budget and a proposed property tax increase. On June 16 the council instead unanimously adopted the certified rate of 0.001399, and the final budget's lines for a fire-department tax increase are zero.
