Cherry Peak Resort

Utah’s newest ski area, opened in 2015 above the Cache Valley town of Richmond, with night skiing, tubing and small-town prices.

Cherry Peak opened in 2015, making it the first new ski area in Utah in decades. It is modest in size, with a handful of chairlifts and a snowmaking system, but it gives Cache Valley families a close-to-home place to learn, ski after work under the lights or ride the tubing lanes.

The resort sits in a quiet canyon east of Richmond, a farm town known for its dairies. Pair a visit with Logan and the drive up Logan Canyon.
